Bee-Bop-A-Doo

A Summery song i wrote about a year ago. It's a lovey summery song. Chorus doesn't make much sense, but then, why should it? I re-recorded it the other day, and added some Ukelele. I build up the instruments one by one. I tend to do that a lot when i'm composing.

Comment on the break in the middle. Weird? My friend suggested it, and i haven't really come up with anything better. It seems to fit, in a weird sort of way!

Lyrics:

Chorus:
Bee-bop-a-doo, and i'm feeling really cool,
I got my skat-man-do, and i'm thinking of you!

Verse1
When i see that face of yours, smiling at mine when i open the door, for ya
You make me happier then i've ever been, you're the prettiest thing i've e-ver seen

Verse2
Let's take a trip for a weekend away, it'll be so good we'll wanna stay
I pop the question "Will you marry me?", lets be together for eter-nity!

Verse3
I love you more than a miner loves gold, i want to stay together till we both grow old
You make me happier than i've ever been, you're the prettiest thing i've e-ver seen

Damnation!

This is a song I wrote about five years ago. Decided to make a decent recording of it, although, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to mixing songs. I just messed about with the plug-ins in Cubase until I was happy with what was coming out of my speakers.

So yeah, any good tips on mixing/mastering the track better?

Faith

This is the song i wrote to go in my music A-level composition portfolio. It's my attempt at a deep, meaningful song. I quite like it, 'specially when the bass and drums come in. Not too happy with the singing, but it was the best i could do at the time.

I'd like to hear what you think of it!
That's funny you should say that, cos' me and my friend started up a duo, comedy songwriting team, last year in our music lessons. We wrote one song together, that was really absract, but in a good way. I'll put it up later. Then we kept planning to write more songs, but i just ended up writing them meself!
Just a bit of fun, in a bored music lesson, with a friend. I'm sorry about the different tune accompanient in the harmonica solo. My friend didn't want to play in C, which was the tuning of the harmonica, for some reason! Ah well, ce-la-vi...

Please enjoy!

Jonny Friday

About a year ago, i did work experience at the studio down the road. This is me messing about with the MIDI stuff.

I played all the drums and stuff in, on the keyboard, cos' i don't have a clue about samples!

For the sound effect, i used a Moog, and for the first bit of the high-pitched riff, an Alesis Andromeda. Cool Keys!

It's so called, cos' Jonny is my first name, and Friday was the day of the week i did it!

Anyway, enough rambling, enjoy listening!

Running the Gauntlet

This one's gone through many revisions. Started out as a song, with rubbish words. Then, 2 years ago - when i got my first recording machine - I recorded it, but didn't want to sing, so i put solo guitar over the top, improvising stuff. I've re-recorded it about 3 - 4 times since then, and made big changes every time. This is version 5!

They Want It

Wow! Haven't been on here for aages.

This is a song that's gone through many a change! Started out as a reggae piece, for my GCSE music. Then, i sped it up, and added a guitar solo, and handed it in for my As composition, but that got a crap mark. So, i redid it, and this is what i came up with!
